Bon is an adjective, its feminine is bonne. It describes nouns. It can also be used as an adverb or as a noun.
As an adjective, in English Bon can have several meanings :

Bon, bonne following a stative verb as devenir, demeurer, être, paraître, rester, sembler, avoir l'air, passer pour is used to express :

When the adjective bon follows immediately the verbs as croire, faire, juger, sentir, tenir, trouver, etc., it is used as an adverb and is invariable.

Bon as well as bien can follow the verb sentir / se sentir. The verb sentir has then two different meanings.

The expression c'est bon can have different meannings and express approval, impatience or the end of an action.

Bien following a stative verb as être, paraître, sembler is used to express moral or intellectual judgment. Then it means pleasant to hear, justified, competent, correct, well done.
